The Public Relations Society of the Philippines begins its 2009
Professional Development Series with a special half-day session on “The New
PR – Leveraging Digital Influence to Drive Sales and Reputation” on
Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at GMA Network, EDSA corner Timog Avenue, Quezon
City from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Open to the general public, the talk will tackle how to optimize
PR--through digital means--for reputation, stakeholder and crisis
management, especially in the face of the economic slump.
Guest speaker is Douglas F. Buemi, Regional Executive Advisor for Asia
Pacific of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide and Chairman of Ogilvy PR
Thailand. For over three decades, Buemi has worked as journalist,
government information officer, trade association executive, marketing and
PR counselor, agency senior manager and entrepreneur.
At Ogilvy, Buemi assists regional clients develop smart, creative PR
campaigns that help build brands. He advises multi-national accounts and
supports their integrated business communication initiatives. He is on the
business development team and is also a staff teacher/coach. His clients
include Hilton Hotels, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inns, American Airlines,
American Suzuki, Del Monte Foods, Ford Motor Company, Rolex, Kellogg’s,
Unilever, The Digital Entertainment Group, Warner Home Video, Sara Lee,
Kahlua, Miller Brewing and Procter & Gamble.
Buemi is a cum laude graduate of the Ohio University School of Journalism
and an adjunct professor of journalism at the University of Southern
California Annenberg School of Communications

What does this post have to do with advertising? Akala ko ba advertising blog. Naging personal bashing instead. Does the advertising insdustry care about this guy? Certainly not.
Why is there a post like this here? This is dirt level trash talking which is not even connected to Advertising. And hello?! So what if he is??!! See, that's the difference in Advertising. We embrace gay people—out or not. Grow up and delete this stupid post, stupid person.
shame on whoever employed you. its such a waste of pay and a space on their office. not to mention a shame on the industry.
I do not know Makoy personally apart from a few hellos on the chatbox. But the point here is, since when is it anybody's business to out other people, in an effort to obtain readers? Respect may be an alien concept for you but on issues such as this, where a person's life may be adversely affected - for whether it is true or not, then i would suggest that you take a step back and examine if you what you're doing is right.
Outing celebrities, more so regular people who are merely trying to earn a few buck on the blogoshpere, is low even for uneducated pricks.
You will have gotten traffic for what you did as concerned bloggers will want to check out what you wrote but i hope you 'll realize that there are better ways to promote a blog... and this is definitely not one of them.

i mean its a rude article but nonetheless its still publicity and free advertising, mas marami ang naiintriga mas marami ang pupunta sa blog niya.
My point simply is, for whether it is true or not, it is nobody's business to out people. It is up to that person alone kung gusto nya i-out ang sarili nya o hindi considering na madami pa din ang makikitid sa atin. Ikaw lang ang makakaalm sa sarili mo if coming out of the closet would jeoparadize your job, your family and/or loved ones. That reason is enough para walang dapat na nakikialam sa desisyon na un. Not friends, and especially not random authors wanting to get attention.
and we should care about this because? geez. how low and shallow can you go.
Kung bading sya, dapat pumasok siya ng advertising. Ako mag-a-out na rin ako para ma-promote akong CD.

That's it? Has this blog run out of material? Wala ng substance tong blog na to. Hirap kase pag tsismis lang ang source ng joy - pag wala ng scandal na makalat, awkward silence na. Then again, buti na ring quiet kayo at walang sinisiraan. Gossiping relieves a lot of pain for a lot of people, but it doesnt really get anybody anywhere. I hope the owners of this blog would focus on a solid objective that would be good for filipinos in the industry. Hindi yung magiging venue lang siya for personal gains or psychological relief.
